Head Teachers Welcome

Welcome to St. Bride’s Primary School. Our school opened in Bothwell in 1973 with an extension added in 1994. Unfortunately a fire destroyed the school in July 2003 and the new St. Bride’s was re-opened in January 2005.  Last year we were delighted to celebrate the school’s Golden Jubilee, with friends and families past and present.

Our current school boasts 10 classrooms, Reception Office, Janitor’s Office, H.T. Office, D.H.T Office, Principal Teacher office, Reading Lounge, Nurture Room, Visiting Services Room, Dining Room, P.E. Hall/Stage, Staffroom and a number of cloakrooms, toilets and stores. In addition to this we have access to a Portacabin class across the car park. This is a welcome space and gives us great flexibility for further teaching and learning opportunities.

Our Nursery Class which was opened in 1996 and was formerly housed in the main school building now occupies a large custom built separate building at the front of the school as of August 2015. The full school has been decorated and equipped to an exceptionally high standard – I am sure you will be delighted with all the school and nursery have to offer.

There is a Nursery soft play area and outdoor garden and mud kitchen, a MUGA pitch and a well set out school playground including an outdoor classroom, trim trail and infant climbing frame.

St. Bride’s aims to provide a stimulating and appropriate learning experience which meets the needs of all our learners encouraging them to achieve their maximum potential.

We promote partnership with pupils, parents, staff and the wider community within a caring and supportive environment.

I hope when your child joins our school that you, as parents, feel part of our school community. We will always be ready to listen to your views, discuss issues with you and hope that a strong partnership will be built between us so that your child fulfils his or her potential.

St. Bride’s is a wonderful environment in which to teach and learn.
