The Big Band celebrates the rich traditions of jazz and big band music covering styles from classic swing, latin and contemporary arrangements. From Count Basie to Stevie Wonder, their repertoire highlights the versatility and enthusiasm of these young musicians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-base-color has-text-color has-link-color has-rokkitt-font-family wp-elements-28ddb74e97eb684fa1cdf82faa869d2f\" style=\"font-size:clamp(19.481px, 1.218rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 1.129), 31px);\">Under the expert direction of the SLC  instrumental music teachers, the ensemble provides an invaluable opportunity for students to develop advanced performance skills, gain experience in improvisation, and perform live at events throughout South Lanarkshire and beyond.
