South Lanarkshire Council IMS provide opportunities for pupils to perform in a number of school and authority music groups. Pupils are encouraged to apply their skills through participation in a variety of ensembles and performance settings. Ensemble involvement promotes teamwork, communication, and a sense of belonging, while contributing to the broader school and community ethos. South Lanarkshire IMS ensembles include:

- South Lanarkshire Schools Percussion Ensemble
- South Lanarkshire Schools Rock Collective
- South Lanarkshire Schools Choir
- South Lanarkshire Schools Saxophone Ensemble

The IMS work in partnership with the West of Scotland Schools Orchestra Trust, providing opportunities for pupils to perform in a number of wind and string ensembles alongside musicians from Local Authorities across the West of Scotland. More information is available at www.wsso.org.uk
