Learning in this area is designed to be <strong data-start=\"555\" data-end=\"614\">practical, relevant and connected to real-life contexts<\/strong>, helping learners understand how technology shapes society and the world around them.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"9jb5y2\" data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"779\">\ud83d\udd2c Why Technologies Matters<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"781\" data-end=\"824\">Learning in technologies helps learners to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"1085\">\n<li data-section-id=\"6q4x87\" data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"878\">Develop <strong data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"876\">digital literacy and computing skills<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1uynnos\" data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"942\">Design, build and evaluate solutions to real-world
