The strategy is built around four key themes: <strong data-start=\"351\" data-end=\"401\">inspiration, excellence, connection and equity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"604\">To support this, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Education Scotland<\/span><\/span> developed a range of resources to help practitioners access <strong data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"579\">high-quality professional learning, research and support<\/strong>. These resources aim to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"918\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1jwnef6\" data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"695\">Provide easy access to STEM learning materials and professional learning opportunities<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ne3h2b\" data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"768\">Connect schools with a wide range of STEM organisations and partners<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"drzr8o\" data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"858\">Support whole-school approaches through initiatives such as the <strong data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"856\">STEM Nation Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"13lyz53\" data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"918\">Share ideas and effective practice from across Scotland<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"920\" data-end=\"1118\">In 2022, the strategy was refreshed, recognising that many of the original challenges and opportunities remain, while reinforcing the importance of continued focus and development in STEM education.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1179\">\ud83d\udd17<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/binaries\/content\/documents\/govscot\/publications\/progress-report\/2022\/05\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh\/documents\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh\/govscot%3Adocument\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh.pdf\"> <em data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1177\">STEM Education and Training Strategy: Refresh (2022)<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\udd2c STEM Education and Training Strategy In 2017, the Scottish Government published the STEM Education and Training Strategy for Scotland, setting out an ambitious vision for Scotland to become a world-leading STEM nation.
