The recommendations in the strategy are set out under four major themes: inspiration, excellence, connection and equity.<\/h3>\n<h5><strong>This resource has been created by Education Scotland to support the implementation of this national strategy and to help develop a coherent national approach to STEM professional learning. Our hope is that it empowers practitioners to improve their approaches to STEM (sciences, technologies, engineering and mathematics) education in their settings by:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Helping them navigate quickly and easily to high-quality resources, research and STEM professional learning<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Giving them access to an online directory of high-quality STEM support organisations<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Supporting effective whole setting and school approaches to STEM through our exciting new STEM Nation Award programme<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Sharing great STEM news, ideas and practice from across Scotland.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2022, at STEM Education and Training Strategy: Refresh was published which highlighted\u00a0 that the challenges and opportunities facing STEM education and training, initially identified in the<br \/>\n2017 STEM Strategy, remain broadly similar in<br \/>\n2022.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/binaries\/content\/documents\/govscot\/publications\/progress-report\/2022\/05\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh\/documents\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh\/govscot%3Adocument\/stem-education-training-strategy-refresh.pdf\">STEM Education and Training Strategy: refresh 2022<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2017 the Scottish Government published the\u00a0STEM Education and Training Strategy\u00a0for Scotland \u2013 setting out its bold and ambitious agenda to make Scotland a world-leading STEM nation.
