Perry suffered a massive stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, on February 27, 2019. After a second stroke, his family decided to take him off from life support, and died on March 4, at the age of 52. Perry was put to rest in a private funeral service Monday in Dickson County, Tennessee, according to news reports.

Perry’s daughters grieving progress

“While I don’t mean to offend anybody, I’m also not going to cater to any one else’s needs and beliefs,” Perry’s daughter wrote. Sophie Perry has protected herself against people “shaming her grieving process”. Sophie says her father’s death is the ‘worst thing to ever happen in her life’. She added: “I am going to laugh and smile and live my normal life. YES I am hurt and sad and crying and beside myself with what happened to my dad. It’s the worst thing to ever happen in my life. And I am torn the f*** up over it. But I’m not going to sit in my room and cry day in and day out until the Internet has deemed it appropriate for me to do otherwise. And if you knew my dad you would know he wouldn’t want me to. So you shouldn’t either. So to those of you shaming me for my language and my wardrobe and most disgustingly, my grieving process, do us both the favour and just unfollow. It’s a waste of both of your time.”

How is Riverdale coping with Luke Perry’s death? Cole Sprouse reveals!

The Riverdale cast is still grieving over Luke Perry’s death, as he played Fred Andrews on the Riverdale show. The actor was in the middle of shooting Season 3 when he died, so his death will need to be written into the current storyline. The Riverdale set took a break from set for two days to grieve his passing. “I can’t go too much into the spoilers of it, but we do have something planned narratively. We dedicated some of the episodes to him,” Sprouse said, who plays Jughead Jones. “He was very well loved. I mean, the whole world is mourning his passing. But, he was one of those guys that would rather have us all laughing about his great stories than mourning for too long.”
