This morning everyone woke up to a terrible shock of there being a terrorist attack in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. So far we know:
- There is a reported Forty Nine fatalities and with anything ranging from twenty to forty seriously injured.
- Entire attack broadcasted on Facebook live, reminder not to watch it as it is terrible manslaughter, and another reminder not to share it as well.
- Police first took action around 1:40pm local time.
- Officers have also made statements about defusing a number of explosives found on transportation.
- There are currently about forty eight people in Christchurch Hospital including several young children.
- The Guardian has stated: “A man in his late twenties has been charged with murder and will appear in Christchruch Court tomorrow.”
- The Guardian has also said: “A 28-year-old Australian who livestreamed himself online before the rampage as Brenton Tarrant.”
- There are currently 4 people in custody who could be possible suspects to the attacks.
- Several Schools and buildings were put in lockdown and have been evacuated, the lockdown has since been lifted.
