Arsenal player Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who earns £30,000 a week, has allegedly left his mum living in her 10ft storage unit warehouse which has no windows, carpets, toilets or washing facilities.

His mother started living there 3 months ago after her relationship with the football star broke down. Although there is clearly some history between the pair, surely you can never repay your mother for 9 gruelling months, a painful birth and all your childhood?

Although his mother has admitted he has occasionally sent her money, he refused to be guarantor for her to buy a flat and without any family due to her being brought up in care she has no-one left to turn to.

The family lived in council houses and temporary accommodation throughout the years and struggled through hard times sometimes having to go hungry but now while his mother has only a cold bare mattress to sleep on, her two sons live in Ainsley’s £700,000 luxury apartment.

His mother claims the money has gotten to his head and clearly it has. No matter what their differences are surely a man with so much money should look after his mum. It’s the least he should do. Surely he should help her get a place with running water, heating and a furnished bed to re-start her life.
