Just days ago several schools in Scotland were evacuated due to bomb threats which the emergency services acted quickly on.

Canberra Primary School was amongst the few which were evacuated and pupils were taken to the safety of Mossneuk  Primary.

Also, the streets surrounding the school were closed off and nearby inhabitants were told to stay indoors.

Frightened parents were not allowed to get anywhere near their children’s school with all surrounding being cordoned off.

Westwood Road and Belmont Drive were also sealed off as a precautionary measure.

But soon realising there was no real danger the pupils were able to return to Canberra just after 1:30pm.

Luckily no one was injured and investigations are under way to find out who made the hoax call and all will be resolved shortly.
