After waiting 5 years for another Fallout game to be released the wait is over and I’m ready to enter the wastelands of Fallout 4.

Fallout is an open world shooter for those who don’t know. It revolutionized the gaming market back in 1997 with the first Fallout and this newest instalment is no different.

The game itself is beautiful in graphics works and runs with an amazing story-driven experience which sees your character (who you can name whatever you want) looking for his kidnapped baby son, Sean after he is frozen over 200 years in Vault 111.

This quest to find your son leads to an well crafted campaign, fighting all sorts of enemies, and meeting new characters along the way too.

However it’s the side missions that are the real gem here. The campaign time completion is around 56 hours depending on the difficulty you play on as well as how easily you get distracted by side quests.

The side quests completion time, however, is much higher than the campaigns, rolling in at around 100 hours meaning there is a lot of content in this £50 game.

The upgrade system also is important which aids you in building your base and upgrading your weapons.

This game is without a doubt one of my favourite games this year and it will be a hard one to beat in the Game of the Year Awards.

10/10
