As we all know this season has been chart topping so far, quite literally! Here are our top 5 pop songs of the season.
5. FIFTH HARMONY – IM IN LOVE WITH A MONSTER
This song is about how someone has fallen in love with a monster and it explains all the things s/he had done to her and what everyone said. This song is such a pleasing number and so easy to catch the lyrics. It has all the aspects of a classic pop song and a party vibe too!
4. DEMI LOVATO – CONFIDENT
If you want a song that will make you feel so much better then this is it. Its lyrics are extremely powerful and a real statement. It is all about how people under-rate women and don’t let women show their potential and confidence. Power to the ladies!
3. SIGALA – EASY LOVE
Here is a favourite one and quite a new artist of course we are talking of … Sigala! He has released a few songs in the past but honestly this must be the best one yet. Now what a song this is: with a quick pace and catchy lyrics you couldn’t get a better match. Signal, we salute you.
2. ONE DIRECTION – PERFECT
Now not everyone is a Directioner but at the Oystercatcher we are massive fans! Including our teacher editor-in-chiefs. And we were over the moon when we realised that they were dropping new songs. Just as the title says, it is PERFECT. The song starts quite slow and relaxed, but then the pace quickens and the beat starts.
1. ARIANA GRANDE – FOCUS
A song so new it has just premiered on YouTube. It is surprisingly different to all of Grande’s other song, but it is still absolutely amazing. This may end up being your personal favourite. It’s fast and upbeat; a definite disco favourite.
