As we fly towards the Christmas blockbuster season, James Bond gets ready to take us for another rollercoaster ride.

A creepy, mysterious message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a horrible organization. While M battles to keep the secret service alive, Bond reveals the horrible truth behind SPECTRE. The film may also signal the return of arch nemesis Blofeld: the Russian from the seventies with a white cat for those who aren’t quite sure.

Spectre isn’t out yet but it’s coming out soon in the UK. In fact, we are lucky enough to watch our Scottish born hero first as the film opens on general release to the public on the same day as the world premiere in London. Always a dazzling event, the world premiere will be attended by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry at the glitzy Royal Albert Hall. The film is out on the 26th of October.

As ever the cast list is impressive with the film starring actors Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, David Bautista, Monica Bellucci, and Ralph Fiennes.

Daniel Craig has starred as 007 in at least five films, making him the third longest-serving Bond after Roger Moore who starred in seven films, and Sean Connery who starred in six. Speculations say that this might be the last time that Daniel Craig will star as James Bond but who knows, we will have to find out and see.

I think the plot of this new movie is going to be about – as ever –  lots of casualties as Bond pursues a villain. I also predict he will end up with the ladies, because that’s what normally happens. If previous films are to be followed as patterns, it is likely he he fakes death or runs away and ends up saving the day anyway. Whilst doing that he will make an exotic entrance when you don’t expect it, have a plan that fails or backfires, and generally runs around mad for a few hours!

Sam Smith has very recently been confirmed to be singing the theme tune, which on first preview sounds very Bond-esque, with big brassy sounds. Meanwhile, previous Skyfall director Sam Mendes has returned to bring back Bond for his 24th outing.

Filming locations have included the Austrian Alps, Rome, Morocco, London and Mexico City – so we’re to be sure of a round-the-world adventure yet again.
