As part of our Quick Interview series, Jamie Clayton speaks to Mrs D’Arcy from Pupil Support and English.

Why did you become a teacher?

Because I loved English and wanted to help people, so this is a good way to do both.

What is your favourite part about teaching English?

The chat with the pupils.

What is your least favourite thing about teaching English?

Marking lots of essays.

When did you become a guidance teacher?

January 2014.

What is the hardest thing about being a guidance teacher?

Wishing I had more time to spend with the pupils.

What is your day like being a guidance teacher?

Really frantic trying to deal with different things, sometimes at the same time!

If you could have had any other job, other than teaching, what would it be?

A child psychologist.
