Pupils comments from NYC 2017

I thought the itinerary was well executed and in my opinion I would not change anything. Perhaps drag everyone to the American Girl building as it was absolutely fantastic and I’ve never seen anything like it. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the evening meals as we got to chill out and spend time with friends and new people. Although throughout the trip there was never a dull moment. “You won’t see any of this in Larkhall”

In my opinion the most memorable moment that I will truly remember for the rest of my life was the 9/11 memorial museum. It was such a life changing experience and for that I am so grateful, it really made me appreciate everything and understand more about the city. Even although I was an emotional wreck!
I will never forget this memorable trip to New York as it is such a beautiful and inspiring place. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to come along with the school. I would not change anything really the trip as I felt it was so amazing, we did so much in such a short time. The only thing that could have been better is having more time at the beach because I think everyone loved that day the most but all in I am so so gratyeful to have see and done all the great activities we did.

New York has by far been one of the best experiences of my life so far, everyday was jam packed and I was shattered everyday but was so worth it as what we did was amazing! Central Park was one of my favourite things we done in New York, it was such a great way to see the full park even though Mr Hernon decided that the small route wasn’t long enough for us. I am glad we did the longer route as it was great.

I really enjoyed cycling around Central Park, you get to see a different part of New York that isn’t full of skyscrapers or busy streets. I also really appreciated the 9/11 memorial, I think it’s something I will always remember and it was a really worthwhile experience. Top of the rocks was also amazing, the views were spectacular.
I don’t think I would change anything on the itinerary, there’s nothing else I can think of that I would like to visit that we didn’t go to. I think the funniest moment was when it started to rain when we were in Soho and everyone ran into Bloomingdales for shelter looking absolutely miserable..
The 9/11 memorial and museum was definitely the most memorable part of the trip, I will never forget it and it’s made me incredibly grateful.

The 2017 trip to New York City was a trip of a lifetime. It was the most amazing trip with great pupils and staff. The highlight of my trip was being able to go with my friends as although it was a school trip at times we forgot we were with teachers as they treated us with so much respect and let us enjoy our time away.
If I could change anything on the itinerary it would be not to do both top of the rocks and Empire State Building instead, I would just do top of the rocks as I preferred it so much more to the Empire State Building and felt it had a better view.
Personally, I don’t have a funniest moment as there were too many to choose from and I feel every day had a funny moment so I can’t pick just one.
The most memorable moment for me was really the whole experience and everything that we done while in New York. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to go and I take it for granted as not everyone has the chance to go but now I have been I see how fortunate I really am.
I want to thank all the teachers that went aswell as it was such a fantastic trip and they and treated us with so much respect and all put in so much hard work and dedication while we were away.

I go to Paris, I go to London, I go to Rome, and I always say, “There’s no place like New York. It’s the most exciting city in the world now. That’s the way it is. That’s it.” Robert De Niro
