Today P1 all had a turn to hold a chick in their hands. The chicks were a bit wriggly sometimes but P1 were very gentle and careful again. Very Responsible Citizens! Please read some diary entries below and take a look at the photos in the gallery.

We had a very exciting afternoon with the chicks. P1 all had a turn to gently touch and stroke them. The chicks were a bit nervous but all of the boys and girls were very careful to be quiet, slow and gentle with them. Unfortunately, we were concentrating on these things so hard we did not take any pictures! Don’t worry though, you can read about it and see some diary pictures below.

We have missed the chicks over the weekend.
Today we talked about how they have changed so much in only two days and P1 wrote about it in their diaries.
They have got bigger and they have got some feathers now too!
Take a look at some diary entries below.

Today we wrote about our favourite part about having the chicks this week. Some people liked looking at them and others liked hearing them chirp.
Some boys and girls liked when the eggs were hatching best of all. Have a look at some drawings by Kaitlyn, Ruby, Lillie I, Rachael and David.

On Tuesday P1 thought about how to care for our eggs and chicks with Miss Cornish.
They made a Chick Charter so that P1, and all our visitors, know how to look at and care for the chicks.
Take a look.

Here are some of our diaries from day 4. We have 7 chicks now! They are all in their big blue brooder box.
