Additional Information

As we come to the end of our Recycling topic, the children would like to extend the recycling already bring done in our class to make us even more Eco friendly.  After some discussions, the children would like to introduce a “Book Swap” box to our classroom where a child could bring in an old or unwanted book which is still in good condition and put it in the “Book Swap” box to allow another child to read it. Then he/she could take one of the other books which has been donated.  This reinforces the concept of “reusing” which the children have been learning about and makes the concept relevant to them and their life, as well as, allow the children to develop their enterprise skills.

Could you please help your child find an old or unwanted book at home to bring in to school to swap for another and help the children of Room 5 to become even more Eco friendly!  Your help is greatly appreciated.
