Reading books!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder about reading books. Could you please ensure that your child has their group reading book in with them everyday. This is very important as we use them in class for reading and completing tasks. We have a had a few missing since coming back after Christmas so if you could have a quick check at this that would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

Rulers also received their new book today and can work on pages 4 – 11 this week. Image result for reading book clipart

Children can come to school wearing their party outfit or bring it in a bag to change just before lunchtime. However, please be mindful that children need to change into their show outfits in the morning and will be wearing their party outfit all day after the show.

Tomorrow is also Christmas lunch so any children who have not ordered a lunch should bring in a packed lunch.

Thank you to anyone who came to our show this morning, we hope you enjoyed our songs!

Homework

There will be no homework this week as we are coming to the end of the term and will be focussing on our Christmas performance.

If you would still like your child to complete some work at home, here are some ideas you can choose from:

  • Revise some of the spelling words you have had this term using some of our spelling activities (rainbow spelling, curly spelling, writing sentences, air writing etc)
  • Revise some of your times tables.
  • Use Topmarks online games.
  • Read a personal reader at home.

Please ensure children do not read more of their school reading books as we will be continuing with these after the Christmas break.

Thank you for all your support this term and we hope you enjoy our show this week!

Christmas Show!

If anyone still has any Christmas jumpers/tops or tinsel they wish to wear for the school shows next week could you please bring in before Tuesday. Thanks to those who have already brought them in. They look great and we can’t wait to perform our songs for you!

Thanks,

Reading Homework and Christmas show Info!

For our Christmas Show we would ask that the children wear a Christmas themed outfit. This could be a Christmas Jumper, tinsel etc. They can bring these outfits into school this week and we will keep them in class for the shows next week. They will be returned after all the shows are completed. Please make sure names are on everything and in a labelled bag. Thank you!
