Good Morning Room 8. Time for our weekly check-in again where I hope to hear from you all to see how you are. A short comment to let me know what you have been up to would be excellent!
I have been catching up with some family and friends this week that I haven’t seen in a while (from a distance of course) and I am sure you will all be doing the same. I have been doing lots more cooking and keeping myself active 🙂
Lastly, next week we are going to start a different mini topic. Instead of me choosing, I thought we could have a vote. I will give you a choice of 2 and you should vote for the one you are most interested in learning about. You can just add your choice to your weekly check-in comment. The one with the most votes will be the one we begin next week.

- Extreme Earth – You will be learn about volcanoes, earthquakes and extreme weather.
- Africa – You will learn about African food, animals, people, countries and much more.

Hi Miss McAvoy, and all my friends,
First of all – I would like to vote for AFRICA, please. I MIGHT be in school next week because Mummy has to go back to work, but we are waiting to hear if I have been allowed a space…
We had a lovely weekend, last weekend, in the sunshine and Mummy set up a big pool in the garden, so I was enjoying relaxing in the pool with Mummy, while my little sister was practising her swimming – floating, kicking, and soaking everyone!
Our mini allotment from Grow 73 is coming along very nicely, and we have MORE sunflowers growing now as well as a vegetable called a courgette. Mummy has shown me how to re-pot the seedlings and we have created a mini greenhouse for each seedling, using an old water bottle. Mummy also potted some new banana plants this week, so I am excited to see how they grow.
We have also moved our caterpillar chrysalises into the butterfly station now, and they were VERY wriggly when we were doing it. Mummy didn’t like all the wriggling!
Have a lovely weekend. We are hoping to see my Granny and Grandpa for the first time in five months!

I am missing my friends a lot and I want to see them again. Last weekend I went to virtual cub camp. I had to build a den to sleep in and I’m still sleeping in it a week later!

My vote is for Extreme Earth!
I got a new bike helmet this week and took my bike on a big walk, wearing my new helmet to try it out! Both my gran & grandpa and grandma & grandad visited us at the weekend (we stayed in the garden!). We even had a barbeque at the weekend too!
Hopefully I’ll be able to take my bike out on another walk this weekend.

I have been very busy this week I had a barbecue with my gran and grandpa last weekend I had a good time with them. We had our paddling pool out and I have also been doing lots of outdoor learning and activities I am voting for Africa! see you soon.

Hi everyone, I have been growing strawberry’s , raspberry’s , courgettes, they are really growing. I have been doing work for my cub badges , we are using zoom for our meetings every week. I’m still cycling and exercising and walking the dogs. My aunt and uncle and cousin came to see us in the garden. I would like to do extreme Earth topic.

I have been working hard doing my schoolwork. I like learning about summer. I emailed my auntie catherine who lives in australia to ask about summer there as i know it gets very hot and they have bushfires.
I have been working hard on times tables and the 12 and 24 hour clock which is good. I have finished all the kid normal books (sad)and i am looking for something else exciring to read. Today it is my gran and aunties birthday so i learned happy birthday on my violin. I went on a picnic to queens park and i saw all the glasgow landmarks i learned about un school.
I would like to do Africa please. Can we see freddy again soon? I miss you

It was my dads birthday and we all helped decorate it was so much fun. I made cinnamon buns for breakfast and we had chocolate cake for pudding.
