Online Learning 30.3.20

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all well. Welcome to your second week of online learning. Let’s start with some more positivity!

Reading: Please make sure you are reading as much as you can – personal reader or school book. Below are reading comprehension pages for each group.

Grammar: This task is for all groups to complete – Verbs – Punctuation 30.3.20

Spelling: Below is spelling words for each group. Please also continue to use the spelling grid to choose various tasks.

Red – (y) – gym, mystery, pyramid, cygnet, crystal, rhythm.

Blue – (wr) – write, wrist, wrong, wrinkle, wren, wreck, wrap, written.

Green – (ff) – off, cliff, cuff, stiff, different, offer, traffic.

Writing – Keep a diary of what you do this week. This could be a diary entry everyday, every few days or at the end of the week. Try to make it interesting by using VCOP. We have all been doing very well at using this in school! Here is a copy of the VCOP triangles to help you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Below is a textbook page for each group along with a reminder of some other steps you can revise.

  • Triangles: Triangles 30.3.20, Revise counting in 3s and 4s, revise the 2, 3, 4 and 5 times tables. In addition, here are some questions to revise for quick recall – 4+5, 5+6, 6+7, 7+8, 8+9.
  • Circles: Circles 30.3.20, partitioning 4 digit numbers, revise 2, 3, 4 and 5 times tables.
  • Squares: Squares 30.3.20, couting in 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s and revise all times tables.

We had also began working on measuring so here is an example worksheet you can use to complete some measure activities. Don’t worry if you can’t print it, you can note your findings on paper or in your jotter. You could also come up with other objects to measure – Measure worksheet.

PE

  • Joe Wicks or live links as posted previously. (My muscles have recovered from Joe Wicks last week and I will be back to joining in this week)
  • Get outside for one walk a day.
  • Some activities in your garden – obstacle course, stations.

HWB

  • Continue helping around house.
  • Watch Newsround each day and complete the quiz on a Friday.
  • Keep using your Growth Mindset – Growth Mindset acrostic poem.

 

Topic

  • Continue with the PowerPoint you started last week or begin to make one this week (any Viking topic of your choice – clothing, God’s, food)
  • Research and find some facts about Up Helly Aa.
  • Make a poster advertising Up Helly Aa.

Remember these are suggestions and you do not have to complete everything. You can use some activities from last week or continue to come up with your own if you want.
