Homework this week is as follows:

Reading:

Crayons – Chapter 2 of your book.

Rulers – Chapter 4.

Pencils – Chapter 2.

Pens – Chapter 2.

Spelling: 

Rainbow spelling then underline the vowels and circle the consonants.

Green – (ss)  mess, less, mass, kiss, class, lesson, dress.

Blue – (a-e, u-e, ea) spade, brake, name, June, ruler, rule, clean, team, stream.

Red – (oe) toe, Joe, goes, heroes, tiptoe, potatoes, tomato, foe.

Maths:

Squares – Revise all times tables. Revise some 2 digit times 1 digit questions e.g. 46 x 6.

Circles – Revise 2, 3, and 5 times tables. Revise counting in 4s.

Triangles – Revise 2, 3, and 5 times tables. Revise counting in 4s.

Spelling: 

Write a sentence for each of your spelling words. Can you fit more than one word in sentence? Can you come up with a story with your spelling words?

Red – break, steak, would, should, could, trolley, money, valley.

Blue – count, house, round, high, right, might, fly, cry, shy.

Green – cake, bake, make, spade, ruler, flute, rule, June.

Maths: 

Squares: Revise counting in 8s since we will be learning the 8 times table. Revise some 2 digit times 1 digit questions (e.g. 36 x 4)

Circles: Revise reading 6, 5 and 4 digit numbers. Revise the 3 times table.

Triangles: Revise counting in 3s. Get a partner to give you some 3 digit numbers you can order from biggest to smallest/smallest to biggest.

I hope everyone enjoyed having a few days off, despite the weather!

Just a quick note to say there will be no homework this week as we have a short week. Homework will be uploaded tomorrow to be handed in the Friday after.

If you wish to still complete some work at home revising previous spelling words and time tables would be helpful tasks.

Room 8 have been learning about the importance of looking after our environment by not dropping litter and keeping our spaces clean. We have also been learning about recycling. As a little art project we are going to make litter bug mosaics using bottle caps.  We are going to collect these bottle caps as a class and we ask that any you may use at home can be brought into school. Any size and colour!
