Rulers: Last story in your book – ‘A Kindness Rewarded’.

Crayons: Pages 25 – 32.

Spelling: 

Sentence for each of your spelling words. Can you use two words in the one sentence?

Red: own, small, something, live, give, about, around, house, hour, side.

Blue: three, room, long, tree, under, were, thing, know.

Green: who, after, hand, right, fly, bring, Mr. two.

Maths: 

Triangles: Revise these for quick recall – 3+8, 3+9, 4+7, 4+8, 4+9.

Circles: Revise these for quick recall – 5+9, 6+9, 7+9, 5+7, 5+8, 6+8. Revise the 2 times table.

Squares: Answer these questions in your jotter – 241+325,  621+236,  157+824,  552+145.

Homework for this week is as follows:

Spelling: 

Children will be focussing on there spelling words for 2 weeks before moving on to another set. This is to give them more revision in class and at home of these words to ensure consolidation before moving on. Therefore the children will be working on the same words they were given last week.

Task – Blue vowels and red constants OR write 3 times.

Reading: 

Crayons: 17 – 24.

Rulers: Story 2 in your book.

Pens and Pencils: Chapter 9 and 10.

If you finish these pages before the end of the week, please use a personal reader to ensure you are reading at home each night and that you do not read past these pages.

Maths: 

A maths worksheet has been glued into jotters to be completed.

Children were given Parent Evening letters home with them today which need to be handed back into school on Friday with a preferred time slot.

Homework is as follows:

Reading:

Rulers: New book – Pages 1 – 13

Crayons: pages 9 – 16

Pens and Pencils: Chapter 8 ‘The Brown Hen.’

Spelling:

Rainbow Spelling or bubble spelling.

Red:  giant, danger, magic, gentle, gem, energy, cage, germs.

Blue: knock, know, knee, knight, kneel, knew.

Green: fly, shy, cry, sky, why, dry, myself.

Maths: 

Triangles: Count in 2s from 0 to 20. Revise for quick recall: 2+4, 2+5, 2+6, 2+7, 2+9, 3+4, 3+5, 3+6.

Circles: Count in 100s, 200s, 50s and 20s. Revise for quick recall: 4+5, 5+6, 6+7, 7+8, 8+9.

Squares: Revise the 3 times table for quick recall. Revise partitioning 3 and 4 digit numbers, e.g. 246 can be split into 200, 40 and 6.
