{"id":10947,"date":"2022-03-08T15:24:59","date_gmt":"2022-03-08T15:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/lanarkbackup\/?p=10947"},"modified":"2022-03-08T15:24:59","modified_gmt":"2022-03-08T15:24:59","slug":"10947","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/lanarkbackup\/2022\/03\/08\/10947\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>SQA publishes revision support for learners taking National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher exams<\/h1>\n<p><strong>8 March 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) has published revision support to help learners undertaking National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher courses as they prepare for this year\u2019s exams.<\/p>\n<p>The materials are part of a wide-ranging package of support to ease pressure on learners following disruption to learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The revision support includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Advance notice of content that will, or will not be in the exam<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For some courses, SQA has published information on which broad topics, contexts or content will or will not be in this year\u2019s exam. This will help learners to plan their revision and focus more on the parts of the course that will be in the exam, though learners can still use their knowledge of other parts of the course when developing their answers to questions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Study guides<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For some courses, SQA has published study guides to help learners practice answering exam questions. These give hints and tips on how to approach different types of questions, including how to gain marks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Study notes (learners\u2019 own)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a small number of courses, learners will be allowed to create a short study note that they can take with them into the exam hall with them.<\/p>\n<p>Learners can access the revision support from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ushare.edcuation\/\">Ushare<\/a>, SQA\u2019s online platform which hosts links to open-source revision materials and teaching resources that support SQA qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>In mid-March, SQA will also publish its\u00a0<em>Your Exams<\/em>\u00a0booklet; a guide for learners about what they need to know about their exams.
