Design and Manufacture<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0design and manufacture courses\u00a0introduce learners to the multi-faceted world of Product Design and Manufacturing.\u00a0The course provides a broad practical introduction to design, materials and manufacturing processes. The course also provides opportunities for learners to gain skills in designing and communicating design proposals, allows them to explore the properties and uses of materials and gives opportunities to make models and prototypes of products in the workshop.<\/p>\n

The course is practical, exploratory and experiential in nature. It combines elements of creativity and designing for visual or aesthetic impact with a requirement to consider a products function and performance.<\/p>\n

Graphic Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n

This course is a broad-based qualification, suitable for learners with an interest in graphic communication \u2014 both digital and paper-based. It is suitable for those wanting to progress onto higher levels of study in the subject. Throughout the course, learners will develop an understanding of how graphic communication technologies impact on our environment and society.<\/p>\n

On completing the course, learners will have developed skills in 2D and 3D graphics, as well as pictorial graphics. They will be able to apply these skills in order to produce graphics that require relevant visual impact and graphics that transmit information.<\/p>\n
