You can join this group by using the code below;<\/p>\n<p>xvf4coq<\/p>\n<p><b>School Library \u2013 Accommodation<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Library is located on the first floor between Wings A and D (between the Senior Management corridor and the English Department classrooms) overlooking the front door of the school and with easy access to a lift.\u00a0\u00a0 It is a large, airy space housing the library stock, lending and reference, and has an ICT area of fifteen networked computers for class and individual use. There are also display cabinets and display boards used to promote the library stock and showcase pupils\u2019 work.\u00a0 The Library also houses the Dux and School Captain boards.<\/p>\n<p>The Library:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plays an important role in learning and teaching<\/li>\n<li>Helps meet the needs of all learners<\/li>\n<li>Empowers young people and encourages them to develop into lifelong learners<\/li>\n<li>Supports and contributes to the values of our school community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>School Library \u2013 Resources &amp; Equipment<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Library offers the following resources and facilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive book stock (can be borrowed for 28 days; books may also be reserved at the Issue Desk)<\/li>\n<li>Reference works (books in this section include encyclopaedias and dictionaries and may not be borrowed)<\/li>\n<li>Spoken word CDs<\/li>\n<li>Word processing facilities (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher)<\/li>\n<li>Internet and E-mail<\/li>\n<li>15 networked computers (can be booked by staff for class use)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Staff:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ms L Galway<\/li>\n<li>Ms J Horan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Library is fully automated and uses the SPYDUS management system.\u00a0 The catalogue, called SORCER, can be viewed on <b>any <\/b>computer <strong>within<\/strong> the school using the link below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a title=\"SORCER Catalogue\" href=\"https:\/\/lanark.spydus.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/lanark.spydus.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Google Classroom &#8216;5 a day&#8217; Reading for Wellbeing Group Mrs Horan, one of our school librarians, has created a reading group for staff and pupils to enjoy.
