We follow the principles of South Lanarkshire Council&#8217;s Together We Can and We Will and Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) to ensure learning is meaningful, engaging, and responsive to children&#8217;s interests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curriculum for Children Aged 3\u20135 Years<\/strong><br \/>\nFor children aged 3 to 5, we follow the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE)\u2014Scotland\u2019s national curriculum for children aged 3 to 18. The CfE is designed to help every child become:<\/p>\n<p>A Successful Learner<\/p>\n<p>A Confident Individual<\/p>\n<p>A Responsible Citizen<\/p>\n<p>An Effective Contributor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Children explore and develop across eight key curricular areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Literacy and English<\/p>\n<p>Numeracy and Mathematics<\/p>\n<p>Health and Wellbeing<\/p>\n<p>Expressive Arts<\/p>\n<p>Sciences<\/p>\n<p>Technologies<\/p>\n<p>Social Studies<\/p>\n<p>Religious and Moral Education<\/p>\n<p>Our planning is based on children&#8217;s interests, ensuring that learning takes place in rich, meaningful contexts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curriculum for Children Aged 2\u20133 Years<\/strong><br \/>\nIn our 2\u20133-year-old room, we follow South Lanarkshire Council\u2019s guidance document, Together We Can and We Will. This curriculum framework supports children through play-based learning, focusing on three key aspects:<\/p>\n<p>Health and Wellbeing<\/p>\n<p>Communication<\/p>\n<p>Creativity<\/p>\n<p>We also incorporate the principles of Pre-Birth to Three, ensuring a nurturing, holistic approach that promotes children\u2019s social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supporting Your Child\u2019s Learning<\/strong><br \/>\nOur practitioners work closely with each child to set individual age- and stage-appropriate learning targets.
