Welcome to Jackton ELC!<\/p>\n

Dear Parent \/ Carer,<\/p>\n

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Jackton Early Learning and Childcare Centre (ELC).<\/p>\n

Our purpose-built campus opened in August 2023,<\/p>\n

right in the heart of the growing Jackton community.<\/p>\n

Jackton ELC aims to be more than a nursery\u2014it\u2019s a community hub, supporting families and nurturing the development of young children.<\/p>\n

Opening Hours & Attendance Patterns<\/h1>\n

Jackton ELC operates 52 weeks per year, closing only on public holidays (listed at the end of this handbook).<\/p>\n

Opening hours: 8:00 am \u2013 6:00 pm<\/h1>\n

We offer flexible attendance options:<\/p>\n

Full days (8am-6:00pm)<\/p>\n

Morning sessions (8am-12:35pm)<\/p>\n

Afternoon sessions (1pm-5:35pm)<\/p>\n

We aim to support each family\u2019s needs\u2014please speak to a member of the team about suitable options.<\/p>\n

Funded Hours & Wraparound Care<\/h1>\n

In line with the Scottish Government\u2019s pledge, we offer 1140 hours of free Early Learning and Childcare to:<\/p>\n

All 3- and 4-year-olds Eligible 2-year-olds<\/p>\n

Additional wraparound care can be purchased.<\/p>\n

Meals and Nutrition<\/h1>\n

Depending on their attendance pattern, children are provided with:<\/p>\n

Lunch<\/p>\n

Afternoon tea<\/p>\n

All meals are prepared in line with the Scottish Government\u2019s “Setting the Table” guidelines and meet children’s nutritional needs.<\/p>\n

Please complete a Dietary Requirements Form if your child has any allergens or intolerances. The office will be able to supply you with this form.<\/p>\n

Menus rotate regularly and follow a three-week pattern. Menus and information regarding adapted diets can be viewed using the QR codes below.<\/p>\n

Jackton ELC is registered with the Care Inspectorate to provide care for children from 2 years old until primary school.<\/p>\n

3\u20135 Rooms: Up to 96 children<\/p>\n

Our setting includes large, open-plan playrooms and extensive outdoor spaces, accessible from every room.<\/p>\n

Admissions Policy<\/h1>\n

All places are allocated according to South Lanarkshire Council\u2019s Admissions Policy, reviewed monthly at a central admissions panel.<\/p>\n

Online Learning Journals<\/h1>\n

We use a secure platform called Learning Journals to document your child\u2019s progress. You can view and contribute from home.<\/p>\n
