The children and staff have enjoyed another very busy week of learning at Heathery Knowe PS. We received updated guidance around Nursery – P1 transitions and P7-S1 transitions. Details of planned events will be issued next week.
Smarties Chore Challenge
Thank you to everyone who has already returned the smartie tube after completing the chore challenge. The challenge finishes on Thursday 28th May and all filled smartie tubes should be returned to school by then.
Thank you to all families for your support with this fundraising venture.
Sunflower Walk
The children are invited to participate in a sponsored Sunflower Walk to raise funds for Kilbryde Hospice. Each class has an allocated time slot on Monday or Tuesday next week. Children can wear jogging bottoms and trainers to school for this event. Children are also invited to wear something yellow (jumper, tee shirt, hair band etc) whilst participating in the walk.
Photographs
Unless Public Health guidance changes, photographers will be allowed to take class, family and individual photographs outside during the month of June. There needs to be a minimum number of parents interested in having their child’s photograph taken in order to book the photographer.
Please return the slip sent home with your child on Friday to indicate whether you are interested in your child’s photograph being taken.
