18th June – e-profiles

I have looked in every e-portfolio and many children have still complete a final P5 e-profile. Moving school has kept us back as well as the new chrome books not working properly.

For the following children, I have now transferred your Scottish Wars of Independence PowerPoints from your My Documents into your media library : Kieran, Delicia, James, Zara, Jack Carlisle, Lily, Murron, Jack Higgins, Alex, Archie, Matthew, Reis, Lewis, Charlie, Ella, Bailey, Amy, Harrison, Marc, Niamh, Jack Cannon, Connor, Jay, Rion.  You will have to write a post and insert your PowerPoint into it (I will show you how). Profile tag it to Social Studies.

The following children presented using Sway and I have now fixed the link to make sure it works : Calum M, Calum P, Chloe, Yuvraj

The following children have no learner statement yet. Write about your strengths, your achievements, what you want to improve on. Remember this is what your next teacher reads first. Delicia, James, Jack Carlisle, Ella, Harrison, Jack Cannon, Calum Murray

The following children have no e-profile showing on their portfolio page : Rion, Delicia, James, Jack Carlisle, Lily, Jack Higgins, Charlie, Ella, Harrison, Marc, Niamh, Calum Murray, Yuvraj, Murron, Chloe, Jack Cannon

Some children may have published their profile before they included their PowerPoint on Scottish Wars. If so you will have to clone your profile and edit it to include your new post. Don’t forget to trash the old profile.

Finally if you have finished everything, it would help me if you could help others in the class as this is our final week.

All children must show me their finished profile on Monday before they leave the room.

chromebooks

Today we had our first lesson using the new Google chromebooks. Kieran, Jack Carlisle, Muir, Jack Higgins,  Daniel and Harrison have saved their Wars of Independence Powerpoint to my memory stick as we no longer have access to My Documents. Some people uploaded them to their e-portfolio a few weeks ago and hopefully next week everyone else will save to my memory stick then I can share out and let you finish your e-portfolio.

Jack Carlisle brought the story of a 57 year old man Chris who has befriended foxes in his back garden and regularly feeds them.  Many foxes are being killed on roads or shot and so Chris feels an obligation to help them.
