Homework week commencing 6th February

Homework this week is 2 worksheets based on fractions, spelling and a challenge based on your Reading Passport.

For the reading challenge, you need to read a newspaper article, either a paper copy or access one online (e.g. www.childfriendlynews.com).  Fill out the author and date details in your Reading Passport.  Again in the ‘What I thought’ section, use your note taking skills (ABC-LOU) to summarise what the story was about and briefly state your opinion on it.

News reporters

This week we have introduced News Reporters to our classroom jobs.  Each week, two of you will be chosen to find out about a current issue and report back to the rest of the class via the Blog.  Underneath ‘Useful Links’ you will find a direct link to the Newsround website by clicking on ‘News’.  Our reporters will simply reply to this post in order to share their findings with the class.  Our first reporters are Jessica Murphy and Aidan.  Good luck and we look forward to hearing what you find out about!
