It can be found in Core Programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When we provide presentations or handouts we need to factor in \u2018white space\u2019 to allow pupils to read for information.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Scottish Studies is a course which is perfect for cross curricular input.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rights respecting Schools \u2013 catch pupils being good to begin to develop relationships.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We need to use more strategies to allow EVERY pupil to access the curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Important to have Praise systems in place \u2013 stickers, merits etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Use post its as feedback in class \u2013 exit passes?<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Making greater use of peer marking, sharing marking schemes with them.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mark using questions rather than comments, linked directly to marking criteria\/ success criteria.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Live delay is useful for practical subjects.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Employ a group approach to marking homework in the upper school.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rank pupil answers using marking schemes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Outdoor learning is a great way of using the space around the school.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Use of \u2018Spot demonstrations\u2019 to aid teaching<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Greeting pupils at the door as they enter the room is great for ethos and behavior.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The gold Dust of Reflection. When pupils develop the skills to reflect on their work it is powerful and effective.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"568\"><strong>How do you plan to use them as a Department? How and when might you be able to judge their success?<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"568\">\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Using Active Inspire for starters<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Give pupils individual responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 S1 and S2 merits \u2013 automated email to Parents<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Catch them doing something good<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Target specific pupils at specific times.
