We have all worked hard to achieve this award and we are loving enjoying reading.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This session we have registered to take part in the Reading Schools Award Scheme.<\/p>\n<div class=\"steps-text vertical-margin--tall\">\n<p class=\"p-intro\">Reading Schools is an accreditation programme for schools that are committed to building a culture of reading for their learners and communities. It is brought to us by Scottish Book Trust.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>We have applied in the Silver category of this award as an audit showed we had already passed the criteria for the Core Level.<\/p>\n<p>We have submitted our action plan for the Silver Award<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-413\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/crawford\/files\/2021\/09\/IMG_9791-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-414\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/crawford\/files\/2021\/09\/IMG_9792-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Author visits help us gain accreditation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-484\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/crawford\/files\/2021\/11\/Comfortable-reading-areas-300x135.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"135\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Comfortable reading spaces encourage us all to read more.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-485\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/crawford\/files\/2021\/11\/P5-P7-Library-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We have 3 libraries in school to encourage us to read.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-486\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/crawford\/files\/2021\/11\/Sophie-reading-her-pirate-story-135x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Children are encouraged to read their own stories to staff and other pupils.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-647\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/crawford\/files\/2022\/02\/Wall-display-300x135.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"135\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is our Reading Schools Award Display Board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reader of the Week Certificates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have introduced a Reader of the Week in school.
