Welcome to Primary 7! \ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Our Primary 7 pupils have settled in brilliantly and are already embracing the excitement of being at the top of the school. We are so excited for the year ahead and all the fun, learning, new experiences and responsibilities that come with being senior pupils.<\/p>\n

There is lots to look forward to, from exciting learning opportunities to taking on new leadership roles and making memories along the way. We can’t wait to see our Primary 7 pupils grow in confidence, independence and responsibility throughout the year.<\/p>\n

General Information<\/strong> \ud83c\udf1f<\/span><\/h2>\n

\ud83d\udc5f Indoor shoes:<\/strong> Please ensure your child has a pair of indoor shoes kept in school. This helps us to keep our learning environments clean and tidy.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udca7 Water bottles:<\/strong> Children are welcome to have their water bottles in class. We encourage these to contain water only. Juice can be enjoyed during break and lunchtime.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfc3 PE:<\/strong> Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday<\/strong>. Please remember to bring appropriate indoor\/gym shoes on these days.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf33 Woods:<\/strong> We will be visiting our school woods area on Tuesday <\/strong>afternoons after lunch. Please ensure your child brings old outdoor clothing, a jacket and suitable footwear (wellies or outdoor shoes) as we may get muddy! These sessions will form part of our Science learning, where we will be exploring Biodiversity, Interdependence and Ecosystems through practical and outdoor experiences.<\/p>\n

Homework<\/strong> \ud83d\udcda<\/span><\/h2>\n

\ud83d\udcd6 Homework diaries:<\/strong> Miss Jamieson will use homework diaries to communicate homework and information with parents and carers.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcc5 When:<\/strong> Homework will be issued on a Monday and should be completed and returned by Friday each week.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcbb Google Classroom:<\/strong> Homework will be uploaded to Google Classroom and will be accessed digitally. Please encourage your child to check Google Classroom regularly so they are aware of their weekly tasks.<\/p>\n

Class Charter \ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Chatelherault Primary is a Gold Rights Respecting School<\/strong>,<\/span> and our Primary 7 pupils have been learning about their rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).<\/p>\n

The children explored Article 12 \u2013 the right to give their opinions and have them taken seriously. They shared ideas for our Class Charter theme before using their voices to vote and make a democratic decision.<\/p>\n

Together, they created a display highlighting our rights and actions we can take to show respect for the rights of others, with every child represented and contributing to its creation.<\/p>\n

Our Class Charter is a reminder that everyone’s voice matters and we can respect and uphold the rights of others. \ud83d\udc9b<\/p>\n

August\u00a0 2026\ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Everyone has settled brilliantly into Primary 7! We have been exploring our Metaskills and developing our communication, collaboration and focusing skills<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
