Welcome to Primary 6!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome back Primary 6! I hope you’ve all had a great summer and are looking forward to a fantastic year. It’s going to be a busy one with lots going on! \u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

General Information<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Please ensure you have a pair of shoes such as plimsolls or trainers to change into inside the school building.\u00a0 Time spent outdoors and in the woods means that outdoor shoes make the carpets dirty!<\/p>\n

Our P.E.<\/strong> days are a Tuesday and Friday so please remember your P.E. Kit.\u00a0 Please wear appropriate PE clothes to school that day to avoid changing.<\/p>\n

Please write your child’s name on everything they will bring to school, clothes, shoes, water bottles and pencil cases all require a child’s name. This makes it easier to find the owner of lost items.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please ensure your child’s water bottle has water in it, only.<\/span><\/p>\n

Children are not allowed toys in class, unless discussed with teacher before hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Children must know phones are not allowed during school hours. If a child brings a phone for safety reasons, e.g. walking home alone, they must declare their phone to the teacher. This will then be sent to the office until home time, when they can collect this.<\/span><\/p>\n

We enjoy celebrating all birthdays at the end of the year with a cake and films!<\/span><\/p>\n

Please make sure your child does not bring in cakes\/cookies etc for their friends. This is due to allergies which children may not be aware of.<\/span><\/p>\n

Homework \/ Diary<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Homework is given out every Monday and to be haned in every Friday. This can be handed in sooner if finsihed.<\/span><\/p>\n

A copy of homework will be available on google classroom, or pupils can copy this into homework jotters if necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Homework diaries will go home every day and are used as communication between school and home. Please ensure this is brought in every day so we can update it.<\/span><\/p>\n

August<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n
Scottish Parliament.<\/h6>\n

We have started our new topic which is The Scottish Parliament. We have been busy learning about all the issues which effect us and learning how we can use our voices to make changes in Scotland!<\/p>\n

Woods<\/strong><\/p>\n

We created pizzas in the mud kitchen, built dens with a fire pit and had a bird buffet! We have enjoyed spotting wildlife animals, like the brown speckled wood butterfly.<\/p>\n
