We were delighted to receive a grant from the Digital Xtra Fund to allow us to set up our Cathkin Coders Club. This was a lunchtime club where children from P5 & 6 were given the opportunity to learn to code with Marty the Robot. We also had a visit from Emma a software developer who was able to talk to the children about her job and what it is like to work in the tech industry. At the end of the block we had\u00a0 learning showcase which we named Marty’s Got Talent. The children enjoyed this opportunity to present and\u00a0 showcase their learning. Emma, Maha from @DigitalXtraFund and Mrs Black were our judging panel.\u00a0 Everyone was very impressed with the coding skills the team has learned and the creativity showcased by them all – our wining team was the Superspies- well done girls!<\/p>\n

We plan to run a little coders club for P1 & 2 after the Easter break- look out for those letters coming home.<\/p>\n
