At Cathkin Primary, we have an active and supportive Parent Council. Our Parent Council play an active role in supporting parental involvement in the work and life of the school, while also providing opportunities for parents to express their views on children’s education.

Parents and the Parent Council can expect to:

• Influence decisions
• Be listened to and taken seriously

The Parent Council is also entitled to support from the Education Authority in fulfilling its role.

All  parents/ carers are members of the Parent Forum. The Parent Council meet on a monthly basis in the school. The date and time of meetings is advertised in our school monthly newsletter.

Our Parent Council also support our school with fundraising and organising a variety of events for pupils throughout the school session.
