Enrol online<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To register your child for school you should complete our online registration form.\u00a0You must identify the catchment school for your permanent home address by using the\u00a0school catchment checker<\/a>.\u00a0This will give you information on both primary and secondary schools.\u00a0The link to the online form will be given when you select your catchment school. It is only the parent the child ordinarily\u00a0stays with\u00a0who is authorised to register them. This includes the guardian\u00a0or any person who is liable to maintain or has parental responsibilities. For more information see the\u00a0Children (Scotland) Act 1995<\/a>.\u00a0If you have any difficulty in identifying your catchment school please email us\u00a0edsuppserv.helpline@southlanarkshire.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n

Submit your documents online<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The online registration form will ask you to provide each child’s full birth certificate\u00a0and two pieces of recent official documentation both containing\u00a0your permanent home address for example a utility bill, council tax statement, housing rent card, child benefit documentation. Proof of where the child lives may also be needed.\u00a0Please note that a registration is required for each child (for example, twins require a registration each).<\/p>\n

Documents should be no more than 5MB each and preferably in .jpg or .pdf format.<\/p>\n

If your child attends the nursery of your catchment school don’t assume that they will be automatically transferred. You must register them as normal.<\/p>\n

Early entry<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If\u00a0your child’s birthday\u00a0is after 1 March,\u00a0you can still apply to have them\u00a0admitted early, please read our page on\u00a0early entry to school<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Deferred entry<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If\u00a0you want\u00a0your child to have\u00a0an additional year at nursery, please read our page on\u00a0deferred entry to school<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pupil enrolment during the summer holiday period<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you want to enrol your child during the summer holidays, you should complete an online registration.\u00a0An admissions review will take place a few days before the start of the new August term.\u00a0Someone will then be in touch to confirm if a space is available for you at your catchment school.<\/p>\n
