Planning begins with skilful and purposeful observation of children,<br \/>\nand this enables staff to draw conclusions and plan next steps. Assessing children in<br \/>\nterms of their progress and needs is an ongoing process and is integral to planning,<br \/>\nobservation and implementation. By using this information effectively, staff, parents and<br \/>\nchildren, where appropriate, can create and maintain plans which help to provide a<br \/>\nfocused and individualised approach.<\/p>\n<p>Your child\u2019s learning is recorded in a journal which is added to by them and their<br \/>\nkeyworker. We use paper journals here at Ballerup to empower your child to contribute to their<br \/>\nown learning .
