Every child, no matter what age, comes to our early years establishment as eager, active learners with the goal of making sense of their world enabling them to take part in it and enjoy it. They are learning all the time from their experiences.
As parents and carers you are central to these experiences in the home and community and as professionals we recognise your contribution and we want to develop strong links with you to build on these experiences.
In our setting we provide opportunities for every child to explore, investigate, be creative and use their imagination. As a staff team we are open and willing to listen to what each child is saying. Every child should be given time and encouragement to think and we must value what they already know.
“Together we Can and We Will” was developed in line with the values, purposes and principles of “A Curriculum for Excellence”. A strong emphasis is placed on the involvement of every child, parent/carers and staff in the planning cycle. To maximise learning opportunities we need to work collaboratively, talking and listening to each other to ensure effective planning for successful learning.
