{"id":2173,"date":"2014-03-18T23:19:06","date_gmt":"2014-03-18T22:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/HallsidePrimary\/?p=2173"},"modified":"2015-08-06T19:41:40","modified_gmt":"2015-08-06T18:41:40","slug":"science-engineering-week-day-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sl\/HallsidePrimary\/2014\/03\/18\/science-engineering-week-day-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Science &amp; Engineering Week, Day 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another great day today. \u00a0We had Dr Mark Wiggins, a Laser Physicist, who explained all about his work with laser technologies. \u00a0He even managed to burst a balloon just be concentrating laser light on it. \u00a0Also today we had Gary Campbell, an astrophotographer, who held workshops with the P5s and P6s on photographing deep space objects. \u00a0Mrs Harrison carried out workshops with the P5 classes on What&#8217;s the Force. \u00a0And Susan Stanford (along with her husband today) and Mrs Pike were back in school for the P1s to carry out their experiments and more classes to see her cool demonstrations. \u00a0P6a made slime with Ms Tees that constantly moved from a solid to a liquid state!
