Hygeine Experiment

We carried out an experiment to see what happens when we touch food with our hands.

The first picture shows a slice of bread which everyone in class touched (without washing our hands), the second picture shows a slice of bread which everyone touched after washing their hands and the last picture is a slice of bread that only the teacher touched with clean hands.

Now we can see why it’s so important to wash our hands before eating.

Cooking

Today we put a lot of our learning to the test. We remembered our good hygeine points and how to keep safe in the kitchen. We then followed instructions carefully to make some chocolate apples. We then tidied up after ourselves. Hopefully they taste as good as they looked!

Homework

Spelling – LaSaCaWaC words twice. Write an INTERESTING sentence.

Talking and Listening – tell an adult at home the instructions they would need to follow to make a chocolate apple. Remember time signposts. I’ll be looking for an interesting hook sentence to introduce your instructions. Please sign in homework folder to say this has been done. Also discuss good hygeine points when cooking.

Maths – Sumdog. Aim for at least 50 questions. Any issues, speak to me ASAP.
