Oscar winning success!
It was a normal day in the p6/7 class when the teacher said in a loud voice “Someone’s going to come in called Mark and make a film with us for a film festival.” That day everyone was excited, waiting for the next day because we were going to find out who was filming or acting. Finally the next day had come and we found out who was getting picked. Three people got picked for the crew and eight for the acting. Mark said surprisingly “We can all act but the crew stayed the same.”
That day we started to plan out the movie and we decided it was going to be on road safety because it tied into our Health. We also decided to do road safety because the Junior road safety officers (including me, Cameron) wanted a road safety movie.
After we had made the movie we were ready to go to the film festival. The night came and we were competing against the same age of children and some teenagers. We won the best documentary and at the end we were going to find out who won the overall prize. We were all waiting nervously and Mark called out the winners. Mark said “The winners is Hallside primary with the movie road safety. When we went up to collect our trophy we also got some free cinema tickets. The next day everyone was amazed and Mrs Maxwell was very pleased.

Look at our Blog Heading!
The very first P6/7 Blog header was created by Holli in P7. She worked really hard to create a header for Remembrance Day after learning more about this in school. Well done Holli!
Keep checking back to see our Remembrance Poems.
