School Closure

Due to the weather, the school will be closed today.

If you have a chance look at the following options to keep your brain working and stop you getting bored!

  • Play Bamzonia or one of the other Maths games on GLOW.
  • If you think you can, record your solo talk on a camera and email it as an attachment. We can watch these if we get a spare minute!
  • Write a short story about something related to the weather, Christmas or something relevant that’s happened this week.
  • Keep rehearsing that recorder (sorry mums and dads!!!)
  • Do a little research on the weather – P7s this links in to the Beaufort Scale. (look at Beaufort Wind Scale to see the conditions on land not just sea) make up a poster to go with this.
  • Make a decoration for the class.

Hope to see you all again tomorrow.

PS I might have to eat number 8 on the calendars – sorry.

Homework Reminder

For those of you who may have forgotten – this weeks homework will be to learn to play Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer on the recorder. It needs to be spot on for Friday!!! Any spare time you get, use it to rehearse – not long until the show!!!!

Also remember to write a list of instructions on how you think you would build an igloo. This should be in your own words, not copied and pasted off the internet – be warned!

Have a look at home to see if you have any red, green or white items of clothing. If you have hats, gloves or scarves or perhaps a bit of tinsel, bring them in too. We’ll finalise costumes this week.

P6s – Keep revising place value in numbers to a million and spend time on your mental skills as we’ve been doing in class.

P7s – Have another look at the negative number games on GLOW.
