On Saturday morning at 12.00 me, Andrew S, Murray and Grieg went to the Auchengillan centre for Scout camp and we got settled in. Then we went into the woods and lit a fire it was very rainy but we had fun. Straight after that we went to the climbing wall it was very tall and difficult. We switched over with the other group and went to Archery, it was very enjoyable. For tea we had macaroni cheese it was very scrumptious and to warm our selves up we got into our onesies and stayed in our dorms for a while. At night we were given a pack of cards so we played rummy and 21. Our room was the quietest so we got to stay up later than the rest of the Scouts. At 4 in the morning Andrew and Murray were suddenly woken up by a WWE match going on in one of the Cubs room.
In the morning we got up at 8.00 ish, got dressed and went for breakfast. There was cereal and hot food as a choice. Then we went back into our dorms and hung out for a while. The leaders called us to get ready for a hike. We climbed a big hill and then worked our way back to camp. After we got back we went into the games room, it had computers, a film projector, board games and comfy seats! The day was nearly done but we went to have our lunch first, which was sandwiches, crisps and hot food. Because we had some free time we played cards again and then we got to try sumo wrestling in big suits. At the end we walked into the lunch hall and there was loads of food left so it was a free for all buffet and you could take what you want. Finally my Mum and Dad came and picked up all my friends and drove us home. It was a really, really fun weekend and I can’t wait til the next one.
On Wednesday me and Arran got our black belts. Arran had been doing it for five years now and I have been doing it for three years now. we had to fight and do katas It was hard but we eventually got them and we were really happy. we do it at St Charles and our club is bushido karate association and we do it on a Wednesday at 7 o’clock until 8 o’clock.
Woo hoo!
Another fantastic achievement for P7. Well done to everyone for trying their best and working together as a class!!
Can we make it 3 in a row?

Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive
You’ve got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don’t mess with Mister In-Between
You’ve got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium
Liable to walk upon the scene
To illustrate his last remark
Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark
What did they do
Just when everything looked so dark
Man, they said we better, accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don’t mess with Mister In-Between
No, do not mess with Mister In-Between
Do you hear me?
Oh, listen to me children and-a you will hear
About the elininatin’ of the negative
And the accent on the positive
And gather ’round me children if you’re willin’
And sit tight while I start reviewin’
The attitude of doin’ right
You’ve gotta accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don’t mess with Mister In-Between
You’ve got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom, down to the minimum
Otherwise pandemonium
Liable to walk upon the scene
To illustrate my last remark
Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark
What did they say
Say when everything looked so dark
Man, they said we better accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don’t mess with Mister In-Between
No, don’t mess with Mister In-Between
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There’s a land that I’ve heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true.
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops,
Way above the chimney tops,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?

Keep trying to play the notes B A G C’ D’ and ensure your fingers cover the holes. Remember you can do this without always having to play it aloud, just in case family members need a little bit of quiet!!!
