  • Wednesday 23rd December =School closes at 2:30 for winter break .
  • Tuesday 5th January (2016)=School reopens  for term 3.
  • The current winter menu will be used until the 18th of April 2016 .

Remember that all instalments for Abernethy must be payed by February 5th , if you can try and have them before then .

Homework is always due in on Fridays and P.E is  always Tuesdays and  Thursdays  so  always have your gym kit and your Homework.

On Friday I interviewed my Papa and I learned really interesting things about him and the war. He helped me and lot by giving me really detailed answers.

Was any of your family apart of WW2: Yes my dad made things for the war

Where did you live: Glasgow

Where you evacuated: Yes

Where: Blackridge, West Lothian

What age were you: 4 or 5

What did you do: Go to school

How did you feel: I was only young so I though of it as an adventure

Did you return: Yes

How long were you there for: About a year

What age were you when you returned: 5 and a half I think

Were you interested in the war: Not really I was far to young to be interested

What do you do as a job: Retired

Today the primary 7s have been painting Christmas ornaments. They are all fantastic!

Also today was our Christmas lunch. There was a choice between turkey, steak pie or vegetables with vegetarian pork sausages. I chose the turkey and it was delicious!

Tomorrow will be our last day at school for the Christmas holidays! So you can bring some games in but NO electronics just in case they go missing. If you want you can bring in some Christmas DVDS to watch with the other P7s.

Remember we finish at 2.30 tomorrow 🙂

A massive well done to Lucy who received a certificate for raising money for Children in Need and Abbie who received a medal for her gymnastics display.

Christmas Fayre

 

On Thursday this week  we have a whole school fun- day , every class will have the chance to come to the hall where all of the stalls are , over the period of Thursday to -Friday . Our class will be at the funday at 12:00pm on Friday .At 2pm on Friday the fayre will be open to parents , right through to 5 O,clock  . Sam will be our very own Hallside  ELF .

Remember to bring £2 if you want to by your calendar or  to gain entry to the fun day
