The Pantomime

Hi guys, just to say that today we saw the pantomine Cinderella and that it was amazing. My favourite part was when we first met Buster(the mouse) because to me he was hilarious! What was your favourite part? The butler was also very funny; when the prince and cinderella were  dancing, the butler springed out at Rachel K , Farheen  and I. And the butler scared us to death! 🙂 Overall I think it was extremly good, so I want to thank M&M productions for coming in. Bye!! 🙂

Pantomime

Just a quick reminder if you did not hear this afternoon;

Tomorrow (Tuesday 19th January) we will be seeing the pantomime (Cinderella!) You do not need to bring in any money as it is free.

Enjoy!

Alison

In science we are doing the stem challenge ‘marble run’ where we go into our groups and build a marble run together. The way to win is to have your marble run working and as close to a minute as you can possibly have it. So remember, bring in any spare cardboard to give your run an advantage! May the best team win!!

UPDATE:The winning team was Demi, Barry, Ellie, Farheen , Brandon and Shashank’s team!

Congrats! If you were wondering , their marble run lasted 9.27 seconds

Hope you don’t mind but I’ve added some pics to your post. Mrs M

Abernethy

I know it seems like ages away but in under 3 months we are going to Abernethy!! Today we were talking about different questions people had asked. Lots of people were asking about rooms/requesting people for rooms, so just remember that when you request someone that you will get the opportunity to request around 3 people however you will only be guaranteed one person though before more than one requested person has been in each room . Also remember the final payment has to be in by the 5th of February.

Second Week Back!

This our second week back and although we are still recovering from the holidays we still have to try our hardest in our work. Actually we have to work harder than ever this term as it will be more jam packed with work than any other term so far! 🙂

If anyone from Cathkin high school is reading this then i am just letting you know that we have received your letters and will be writing back soon! 😉

Last but not least we all have to work on handing our homework in on time (not pointing any fingers) and our noise level. I cannot name anyone who doesn’t talk while the teacher is speaking at least once a day. I am not saying that i don’t but i am going to work on my noise level during work and when the teacher is speaking so i hope you do to!

Dementia by Demi

Today we were very lucky to have a talk about Dementia, and its effects.

There are 4 common types of Dementia and mostly people over 65 get Dementia.

It is possible to live a happy life with Dementia.

The common effects on Dementia are:

You can see things that are not there.

You think that you are a lot younger than you are.

Also you can’t remember how to do things anymore.

If someone in your family has Dementia, a good thing to do is get them a teddy. It might sound funny but they might miss looking after their children and might feel a little lonely.
