Maths

Squares – Decimals. Chapter 5 Ex.1 (purple sheet – complete in jotter)

Triangles – Decimals. Addition and subtraction worksheets. (Can be completed on sheet)

Circles – tables revision. You MUST know your 2,3,4 and 5 times table. (See the games on here to help)

Diamonds – addition worksheet.

I would encourage you to complete at least 1 session of RM Easimaths too. Also see the games on this site.

Language – oral book review for next 6 people on the list. Read for at least half an hour. Revise the spelling words you misspelled in the test and learn the new ones given in class. It’s up to you how you do this. Can choose a task, ask someone to ‘test’ you, go through them in your head.

ICT – make sure your e-portfolio has the appearance you would like. Also include an outdoor learning and poem comment if you haven’t already. (Also if you’ve received a certificate, been in radio, athletics or netball, won a star, been in a competition outside school etc then be sure to add this too!)

Ellis’ poem

See the final result of the sighting,

Look and note that heaven’s enlightening

Standing bravely,

facing and fainting,

whilst in the making

their foes we’re awaiting.

It’s not a fantasy this is reality

The look on my face as I saw the fatalities,

shedding tears of our fallen peers

knowing their spirit will always be here.

Right in the deep of the forest we seek,

hunting and hunting as long as we speak.

Until our destiny becomes a dream

as we fall into the deepest of sleeps.

Death from above, below and the side,

hearing the bombings all through the night,

spectating poppies during the fight.

Silence.

The graveyards sleep silently as did our warriors.

The blood creeps quietly into the flowers.

Let them have freedom for an hour

as the soil gives birth to strength and power.

I hope you remember fully

the ones who took bullets.

Tears for our peers who had bombs in their ears.

Remember. Don’t forget it. For us. For them. For you.

Ellis

We took our learning outdoors on Wednesday. We explored our local area and discovered different signs of Autumn. We identified different trees from their leaves and estimated the age of them. We made our own Peggy Sue and sailed it down the river (with varying degrees of success) and even spotted a squirrel. In the afternoon we painted some tyres to make into planters for the school garden.
