Maths – booklet for tables revision.

Spelling – next column of words. Please spend time on this and check you know the meanings. Some of you have extra revision of last week’s words.

Reading – choose a reading challenge and write it in your booklet.

Art – design a front cover for our yearbook.

Extra – remember you should be reading regularly at home. Feel free to go on sumdog, RM Easimaths, code.org or Scratch. Write some poems or a diary entry. Run a mile, go on your bike or attend a club. Chat to a family member about a subject of your choice. Watch the news or a documentary about something you’re interested in. Draw/paint/bake.

Everyone has now been given their spelling lists for the full year! Please do not lose this! P7 are working on their second column of words and P6 are working on Week 7 column.

Spend some time on Sumdog and/or RM Easimaths.

Have a look at this site to help with tables revision.

We will be taking part in The First Minister’s Reading Challenge. Please get into good habits and read regularly at home.

P7 will have to hand in their Rocks booklet. Please make sure you are not just copying and pasting information and remember to name your sources.

(For next Monday) Create a pumpkin in the form of your favourite character from a book. You can draw, paint, collage or carve this.

This week the class  worked on a new type of art that was called abstract art one of the artists was called Piet Mondrain.

He likes to make city and objects and turns them into lines and he only uses the three primary colours and

black,white and grey.

Spelling – words given out in class. Choose 1 task from the sheet and also write a WOW paragraph using at least 3 of the words.

Maths – Sumdog (at least 50 questions) Please continue to revise tables. P6 look at how you can use time in real life situations.

P7 – work on Rocks booklet (as discussed in class)

P6 – all pupils to prepare a book review.

Extra – remember if you are looking for extra homework, consider the following;

sumdog, writing diary entries, writing poems of your choice, extra spelling tasks, reading a book of your choice, code.org, scratch, mental maths practice, watching the news, extra research on something discussed in class, making presentations of something covered in class, doing a daily mile, painting/drawing a picture.

Language – Spelling words. P6 put them into alphabetical order, synonym and antonym for word of your choice, sentence (or paragraph) using as many words as you can. P7 find 5 more words that follow the pattern, synonym and antonym, sentence or paragraph.
