This week we’ve been finding out more about Robert Burns. We made up a fact file about his life and found out the meanings of some Scots words. £10 bonus class cash to the first 3 people that comment with their favourite Scots word and what it means or their favourite Burns poem and why.

Today we made potato scones and the first part of our macaroons. We followed a recipe, worked with others, measured ingredients and cleaned up after ourselves.

Spelling – words and tasks as copied into your jotter.

Maths – worksheet and LEARN tables!!!

Science/topic – what would you take to space worksheet. Be prepared to discuss it.

Flags worksheet for Tuesday.

Bring in your reading passport.

Tomorrow during Panto you can bring a sweet with you to eat during the performance.

Spelling – words are in homework jotter. Learn them for test in Friday. Remember it is up to you how you learn them. Orally, rainbow writing, speed writing – it’s up to you!  Get someone to sign next to your last score.

Maths –

Squares – dividing numbers by 10 w/s. Remember answers should be as a decimal not having a remainder. Also spend a little time revising multiplying and dividing decimals by 10, 100 and 1000.

Triangles –  Sumdog session. Will also give you  questions on finding fraction of a quantity.

E-profile – write an entry about your favourite thing about the Japan topic and an entry about your aim for the term.

Our topic this term is Space. Check here for details on viewing the ISS. We’ll learn more about the European Space Agency countries and gravity. Can’t wait!

We’ll continue writing our stories for the infants in preparation for National Storytelling Week.

P6s will continue to learn about fractions and P7s will continue to learn about decimals. Wee group will learn more about money and change.

We’ll revise our French numbers, colours and greetings.
