This book is about Roald Dahl’s childhood. In chapter one is about his family. His mum and dad split up when Roald Dahl was six years old. His dad toured around the world with his brother Oscar. They toured around the world selling food. They made a fortune. 1 year later they thought it was best to split up. So Roald Dahl’s dad got married to 3 different women then he stayed with the last and had 3 kids.
Chapter 2 is about his childhood. He attended Llandaff Cathedral School between the ages of 7 and 9. Every day Roald and his friends went passed a sweet shop every day on the way to school they always bought sherbet suckers and liquorice bootlaces. One of the boy’s dads said that liquorice bootlaces are made out of rats but they ate them anyway
I think people should read this book because many remarkable things happened to Roald Dahl in his childhood. It is also very interesting
