We enjoyed a visit from the NGUHA squad today. Mrs Forsyth and P1/2 had created a quiz for the Guizer Jarl and we all enjoyed a Boston Two Step to finish off the visit.
Thank you Mr Kirkness for organising our Sports Day, all pupils had a great morning.

A brilliant day in school today raising £369.21 for Comic Relief. Thank you to the P6/7 class for organising this for us. We had great fun with the stocks at the end of the day with all P7’s and some staff getting a good soaking.
We had our snack outside this week- this was instead of our coffee morning we usually have in October. We decorated our zones with bunting and rainbows because we wanted to say thank you to the NHS and raise some money for them.
It was lovely to meet the children who are moving into Primary 1 after the holidays.
Activities were all based in the outdoor area and it was so lovely to see the bairns playing so happily together. It was also a great opportunity to meet all the parents.
They explored the wildlife garden and were delighted to meet our resident frog who was quite happy to be admired.
All the children received the book ‘Bobby and the Burland Pearls’ which we read out at the Learning Logs.
The children had 4 sessions at the school and the weather was amazing so we were very lucky. They got to toast marshmallow on the Firepit, play games, sing songs and do some craft activities on the third session.
The final session was all about having fun, saying goodbye to the Early Years Staff a little farewell party.
The weather was not on our side this year, but Mr Kirkness organised an excellent morning of challenges for all our Primary pupils.

It was such a beautiful day we decided to go for a whole school walk and look for signs of spring.
Well done to Kaysha, Layla, Holly and Josh who went along to the Clikimin on Wednesday to represent Whiteness Primary School at the Top Bowls Competition.
Thankyou to the Health Committee for organising Fruit Pots to sell at school today.
We had a lovely morning doing traditional Shetland dances taught by Maria Leask over the past few weeks.
The last dance was a Grand March led by Abigail and Jack.
